You can download a trial version of dLSoft Point of Sale from dLSoft's download page but please note the following: The product requires Microsoft .NET Framework, v 2.0, and SQL Express 2005. The download version will attempt to install these components if they are not already available on the target computer, but this may result in a large download of 30 - 60 MB. Vista users will also need to run Windows update immediately after installation and before running dLSoft Point of Sale to install the SQL Express service pack, and this may download another 30 MB file.
Licensing
Currently available as a single computer/single screen product; a
multi-point version is scheduled for release later this year.
A full licence will be provided only after the trial version has been
downloaded and found suitable for use.
System requirements
Requires Windows XP (Service pack 2) or Vista and a USB or
keyboard-wedge barcode scanner.
Requires a Windows-supported printer (preferably a receipt printer).
Useful additions would be a touch screen monitor and a printer-operated
cash drawer.
dLSoft Point of Sale is designed for
monitors of 800*600, 1027*768 or 1280*1024 pixels at 96 dpi.
